9 Summer Place is a luxury and well-equipped second-floor apartment, right on the beachfront of Gordons Bay and just a few steps from the sea and the local amenities. It sleeps 4 people comfortably, but the couches in the living room could also sleep 2 small children if necessary. The apartment has wonderful sea views over False Bay to the “sleeping giant” of Table Mountain. The area’s stunning sunsets can be viewed from the apartment’s balcony.

It is a very convenient location for visiting Cape Town, the winelands around Stellenbosch and the Garden Route.

Location

9 Summer Place is situated at 49 Beach Road on Beach Road overlooking the main beach at the front. It is backed by the Hottentot Holland Mountains at the rear. Right in the centre of Gordons Bay village with its bars, restaurants, shops and other facilities, it is just a 20 second walk across the road to the beach.

It is a very convenient location for visiting Cape Town, the winelands around Stellenbosch and the Garden Route. Distances and drive times to key locations are :

·         10 minutes - Somerset West (10 km)

·         20 minutes – Stellenbosch (25 km)

·         35 minutes - Cape Town International Airport (45 km)

·         45 minutes - Cape Town centre and Table Mountain (55 km)

·         80 minutes - Cape Point (80 km)

·         80 minutes - Hermanus (whale-watching) (100 km)

General description

9 Summer Place is a luxury and well-equipped second floor apartment right on the beachfront of Gordons Bay. It sleeps 4 people comfortably, but the couches in the living room could also sleep 2 small children if required. There is no lift, so it may not be suitable for disabled guests.

The living room, with its balcony, and both bedrooms all enjoy spectacular views across the bay.

Its facilities include:

·         Living room with two 2-seater couches, two chairs, remote-control TV, CD/DVD player and sliding doors to balcony

·         Dining area – open plan with dining table and 4 chairs

·         Kitchen area, fully equipped with Bosch washing machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, microwave oven, eye level oven, glass-topped hob

·         Main bedroom, with en suite shower/WC, queen size bed and fitted cupboards. View overlooking the bay.

·         Second bedroom, with two single beds and fitted cupboards. View overlooking the bay.

·         Bathroom, with bath, shower, basin and toilet

·         Balcony overlooking the bay and view to Table Mountain, with Weber barbecue and table/chairs

·         Full air-conditioning

·         Wireless computer/internet connection (you will need to bring your own laptop; there will be a small charge for internet time)

·         All bed linen, bathroom towels and beach towels provided

·         Secure on-site parking, within remote-controlled gates to property.

The apartment is fully cleaned and the bed linen and towels laundered before and after each rental period. Any cleaning or laundry required during rental periods is the responsibility of the occupants – the apartment is provided with cleaning equipment, washing powder and other cleaning materials.

The minimum period of stay is 1 week. Changeover day is normally Sunday, but this can varied on request. Latest check-out time is 10am, and earliest check-in time is 4pm – unless otherwise agreed.

Rental rates vary according to the time of year.

Special discounted rates for longer stays (over two weeks) on request.

All electricity and water supply charges are included.

A 50% deposit is required when booking, and the balance is payable 30 days prior to arrival. Deposits are non-refundable, unless cancellation is notified more than one month in advance of arrival, in which case half of the deposit (25% of the rental cost) will be refunded.

Important notes – please read carefully before booking:

smoking - Smoking is not allowed in the apartment.

pets - No pets are allowed in the apartment.

breakages - Any items of renter's property lost or damaged must be replaced or compensated for.

Please ensure you look after your personal property, as you are responsible for any loss or damage.
